Price Daniel was governor of Texas from January 15, 1957 to January 15, 1963. The governor of Texas is the chief executive officer of the state. These records consist of correspondence, reports, briefs, speeches, subject files, appointment files, legislative bill files, campaign files, press releases, clippings, and First Lady's files of Texas Governor Price Daniel. The records are dated 1944-1966, undated, bulk 1957-1962. Records dating from after Daniel's gubernatorial term were added later at Daniel's request.
